Come join the team at Queensland’s FIRST purpose built sensory & accessible hairdressing salon – The Sensory Salon!

There is also an opportunity for the ideal candidate to integrate their current clientele with the Supreme Sensory Salon. This provides you with the flexibility to uphold and manage your own established client base.

The newly constructed intimate salon is completely wheelchair accessible, with a pivoting basin for clients that cannot transfer to a standard salon chair. The salon also has dimmable lights for individuals who are sensitive or overwhelmed by fluorescent lights, and a galaxy projector for a full calming effect.

About You

We are looking for a passionate, creative hairdresser that is customer service-focused. You can value and encompass clients with a disability that are here for the full experience, a calm & relaxed experience when they visit our salon.

Additionally, the position will welcome individuals who are eager to engage in sales and promotional activities to actively contribute to the expansion of the salon’s client base.

Your Experience

• Minimum two years of on-the-floor experience
• Be confident and competent in colouring, cutting and styling hair
• Experience in working with or delivering hairdressing services to people with disabilities & special needs (preferred)
• Have a can-do attitude
• Work autonomously
• Embrace & Educate about self-care and presentation
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Card & Blue Card or eligibility to obtain both
