About the Role

We are seeking Disability Support Workers to provide ongoing services within our South- and North Side Brisbane locations to participants with complex and / or behaviour support needs.

This rewarding opportunity is for dedicated individuals who are skilled in de-escalation techniques and comfortable with regulated restrictive practices when absolutely necessary.  Having completed recognised training in either of these behaviour support practices would be highly advantageous.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Unrestricted Australian working rights
  • Demonstrated training and experience in all of the below complex support types:
  • Catheter care
  • Bowel care & bowel management
  • Skin integrity care & skin integrity management
  • Manual handling incl lifting, hoisting, seating
  • Diabetes management
  • Epilepsy management
  • Medication administration and record keeping
  • Infection control & hygiene
  • De-escalation methods and techniques
  • Regulated restrictive practices
  • Completed Certificate III in Disability / equivalent
  • Flexibility & reliability to attend all rostered / scheduled shifts, staff meetings and care circle meetings and a commitment to providing exceptional service
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Card
  • Current driver licence and access to a reliable registered and comprehensively insured vehicle & the ability to travel to and from participants within a reasonable radius
